Three craftable wheelbarrows for mixed-load hauling. Colonists collect nearby items, deliver them to suitable stockpiles, and return carts to parking zones. RimWorld 1.6; Harmony required.

INSTALLATION METHOD:

Manual installation verified by the supplied instructions. Do not claim one-click Vortex support without testing it.

Lert's Wheelbarrows adds wooden, steel, and plasteel wheelbarrows to normal colony storage hauling. An adult colonist can borrow a free cart, load eligible items from nearby stacks into one mixed cargo container, deliver them to different allowed stockpiles, and return the empty wheelbarrow to a configurable parking zone.

THREE CRAFTABLE WHEELBARROWS

- Wooden: +100 kg capacity bonus, 20% movement slowdown; 80 wood at a crafting spot; available from the start.

- Steel: +150 kg capacity bonus, speed capped at 4.6 cells/second (does not speed up slower pawns); 100 steel at a fueled/electric smithy; Smithing required.

- Plasteel: +200 kg capacity bonus, normal movement speed preserved; 60 plasteel + 40 steel at a machining table; Machining required.

The listed capacities are bonuses, not fixed total loads. Actual usable cargo mass is based on the colonist's native carrying capacity plus the cart bonus minus equipment and inventory mass.

KEY FEATURES

- Mixed loads collected from nearby accessible stacks within a radius of 4 cells.

- Partial-stack pickup when the remaining capacity is insufficient for a full stack.

- Storage deliveries that respect filters, priority, and available space.

- Empty minified furniture can be transported with other eligible items.

- Individual Use wheelbarrows toggle for each adult colonist; disabled by default.

- Dedicated parking zones with cart-type restrictions, return priorities, and optional vegetation-clearing designations.

- Continue work / Finish work right-click commands after interruptions such as drafting.

- Cart, cargo, and setting data retained in saves.

INSTALLATION

1. Install Harmony and RimWorld 1.6.

2. Extract the LertWheelbarrows folder into RimWorld/Mods.

3. Enable Lert's Wheelbarrows after Core and Harmony; also load it after Common Sense or Deep Stack if installed.

4. Restart the game, craft a cart, and enable Use wheelbarrows for the colonists you choose.

IMPORTANT LIMITS AND SAFETY

- Only adult human colonists currently use carts; no children, animals, or mechanoids.

- Hauls existing objects only; does not trigger harvesting, mining, or logging.

- Does not replace ingredient delivery, construction, refueling, feeding, carrying pawns/corpses, or caravan systems.

- Nested containers are excluded; empty minified furniture is supported.

- No separate wheel physics, animal-drawn transport, or automatic cross-map movement.

- Cargo without an acceptable stockpile is normally unloaded by the parking area. Some circumstances can leave cargo in the cart for a later attempt.

- Occasionally two small stacks can trigger an unnecessary cart-fetch trip.

- Use a copy of your save for initial testing. Back up before uninstalling; safe removal of placed carts from an existing save is not guaranteed.

TESTED CONFIGURATIONS

RimWorld 1.6.4633 rev1246 with Core and Harmony, plus a selected test setup containing HugsLib, Common Sense, Allow Tool, Deep Stack, and Show Me Your Hands. Saving/loading active and empty carts was tested. This does NOT mean full compatibility with all modpacks or confirmed visual compatibility with Show Me Your Hands, RimHUD, or Vanilla Expanded Framework.

LANGUAGES

English and Ukrainian included. Other languages use English fallback text.

FUTURE IDEAS

Animal-drawn carts and specialized saddles are possible future additions, not part of this release.
